"The Star Ferry on the way to Hong Kong Island. It costs about HK$2.20 (or 30 cents US)."

Of the 236 islands which make up the SAR, the three largest are Hong Kong Island, Lantau Island and Lamma Island. Lantau Island is where the airport now resides. Dozens of ferries go between the major islands of Hong Kong everyday, but the most famous is probably the Star Ferry, shown in hundreds of Hong Kong movies.

Lantau Island boasts one of the most unusual and beautiful natural wonders in the world: the pink dolphin. Bright bubblegum pink, they play in the waters off the shores of Lantau.

Chek Lap Kok airport on Lantau Island is one of the largest in the world. Lantau has many other features of which to boast, including the famous Po Lin Monastery which is home to the world's largest figure of Buddha. It is so tall that on a clear day you can see it all the way from the shores of Macau. If that isn't your thing, there's always Disneyworld HK, also located on Lantau.
