The Yin and Yang of Chow Yun-Fat
This is probably the site you were wishing THIS one was. Current news about CYF, fan polls, discussion, fan registry... lots of good stuff. Beautiful design (good job, Trinia!). Free Man is mostly a site about CYF's past, Yin and Yang is mostly about his present and future. Check it out!

The Illuminated Lantern
While not devoted strictly to Chow Yun-Fat, this is a fascinating and well-written online newsletter which delves into subjects related to Asian Cinema. Issue 2 touches upon Chinese Gambling and will be of interest to fans of God of Gamblers and similar films; Issue 1 deals with Taoist priests and their depiction in Asian Cinema. Not a dry and scholarly work, this is fresh and vibrant writing. Highly recommended to anyone who is interested in the symbolism often used in Chinese movies.

the Hong Kong Movie Database
A searchable database of HK films, if you're looking for basic info, a good place to start.

the Internet Movie Database listing for Chow Yun-Fat
While not strictly non-commercial (they are now allied with amazon.com), the Internet Movie Database is a very valuable resource for information on CYF's films. This link will take you directly to a listing of his works in their database; it is admirably complete, only a very early television show or two seems to be missing. There are a couple of errors in the database (mainly films attributed to CYF in which he did not appear). As you will notice, there is a direct link to the IMDb listing for each CYF film which I have reviewed on this site; I strongly encourage everyone who has seen the CYF film in question to go to the IMDb and register your vote on the quality of each film. The more votes the higher CYF scores in their interest rankings.

Pickel's Chow Yun-Fat Fan Page
A very nice site, available in both Japanese and English (the link above leads to the English version) devoted to The Man. Includes a fun games page, a virtual theatre and a message board.

Chow Yun-Fat, God of Actors
This site is no longer active though the maintainer writes the archives will remain in place.

The Official Simon Yam Fan Site
Simon Yam, bad bad boy of Hong Kong film, has given his official blessing to this very nice site. Information on his films, many pictures, fun commentary.

Alternative Reel
A bit raunchy and quite witty, Alternative Reel offers some of the more interesting (and spot-on) film reviews on the Web. Check out their "offbeat cinema" area; those of us who have often felt pushed off into some sort of ghetto because we enjoy HK films will be gratified that not everybody thinks Meg Ryan is the be-all and end-all of dramatic achievement.

Molly Choi's Cherie Chung Homepage
Molly from Korea has put together a super page about the actress Cherie Chung, a frequent castmate of CYF. A profile, screen captures, pics and info on Cherie and her works are featured. There's also some info on Molly and one of her great drawings (of none other than CYF). A web board (in Korean) and a guest book (multi-lingual) add a nice touch to the site. The page is mainly in English, so stop by even if you don't have Korean language support.

Deanna Yusoff|Divide and Continue
A very nice page devoted to the lovely Deanna Yusoff, who portrayed the gentle Lady Thiang in the film Anna and The King. Until I found this page I had no idea of the range of her talents. Visit this page for more information on the talented actress, model and singer. An introduction, discography and a very nice photo gallery are included. Very nice.

Quentin Tarantino is a Loser!
This site seems to have disappeared, but the sentiment holds.

Kibo.com
What can I say? It's Kibo's site.
