Debuting on September 23, 1977, this was the sixth film Chow Yun-Fat made for the Goldig studios. A totally forgettable cop drama, CYF plays a young undercover cop who is killed in the line of duty about about a half-hour before the film ends. Co-starring Sarina Sai, the resident Goldig siren of the time who also appeared with CYF in "Miss O", this film is so boring that it's a chore even to fast-forward through it to get to the parts with CYF. Many of the same players who stumbled through other similar films are to be found in this one - those nameless actors who also appeared as bellboys, police cadets and other bits of human background in dozens of TVB serials.

Directed by Yeung Kuen, those who have seen other Goldig films will recognize the formula right off (which saves you the trouble of having to pay attention to the plot - it's the same parcel wrapped in different paper) and you'll probably even recognize a lot of the filming locations. Car thieves, fat jokes, prehistoric pagers and some really execrable acting (including that from a very dispirited seeming CYF) make this an oddity which is fun to collect, but you don't want to actually WATCH it, trust me.

I'd like to believe the costumes came from Goldig; I'd hate to think of CYF actually owning that dime-store daishiki!
